Wereld Missie Hulp (World Mission Aid)

Wolkat works together with a Flemish textile collector for charity.

Wereld Missie Hulp (WMH) was the first textile collector in Flanders to process their collected clothing in a circular way. Therefore, they started a collaboration with Wolkat in September 2019. We manage their entire recycling process and with the profits they support good causes.

WMH foundation is working towards a world with equal opportunities for everyone. Through their support of small-scale development projects worldwide, people can develop themselves and strengthen their own community. They obtain most of the funds for this from the collection and sustainable processing of clothing.

For this sustainable processing they turn to Wolkat. We are responsible for the entire process from sorting to recycling. Usable clothing is sold on second-hand and the rest is processed into raw material for new clothing or for products such as laptop bags.

Previously, up to 50% of WMH's collected clothing was no longer usable for sale, a problem for which other textile collectors do not have a sustainable solution. Thanks to the collaboration with Wolkat, only 10% of the waste at WMH is actually left over.
