News: Wolkat and RetourMatras
Old or broken mattresses are often burned. Unnecessary because the different materials can be perfectly re-used. The foam for isolation for example or as stuffing in the furniture industry. And with the textiles - such as the mattress ticking - we can do great things at Wolkat!
Therefore we work together with the company RetourMatras. The collected mattress textiles are shred into fibers and made into new yarns in our in-house spinning mill. This way we keep valuable materials in the loop.
Dutch broadcasting station Omroep Flevoland made an item about RetourMatras (in Dutch).
