Recycling textile provides the highest reduction of CO2 out of all recyclable waste streams. Recycling 1kg of textile saves up to 3,4kg CO2 emission. This is the equivalent of driving 18km.
It points out the necessity of handing in textile at the right places to prevent it from ending up in the oven. And did you know that damaged garments can be recycled as well?
